Composing An XML Document From Relational Data: Part 2
by Michael Sansoterra
In Part 1 of this series, I covered how to transform the results of a DB2 for i7.1 query into either an element- or attribute-based XML document. This time, I'm going to delve into a more complicated XML composition that requires the nesting of sales order XML elements as children of retail store elements. Where's The Module?
by Susan Gantner
Over the years I have participated in many discussions about how to find all the programs that have a specific module bound into them. Since the DSPPGM command doesn't support output to a file, it provides a challenge to find this information. The question always seems odd to me, because my philosophy is that if the code in a module is needed in more than one program, it goes into a service program. The service program is then referenced by (and shared by) all the programs that need that function. That way, a module would only ever exist in one place--either in a program or in a service program--and never in multiple programs. READ MORE >

AS/400: Conflict of Interests? more...
Many users tend to upgrade, extend or change the machine when it becomes sluggish, obsolete, trying to make the fewest changes in order to avoid annoying disorders.
All these situations are particularly attractive opportunities to install GoFaster's software, allowing them to significantly increase the interactive performance of many AS/400, iSeries and Power Systems.
Is your model suitable for GoFaster? Find out here!
It is a non invasive, fast and simple solution that eliminates concerns of poor performance for a long period of time.
