Infravio, a provider of software for managing Web services, doubled its customers and revenue base in 2005 as companies looked to get a hold on the growing number of Web services they publish, the Northern California company announced yesterday. The fourth quarter was the best for Infravio (as it is for most IT vendors), as it signed 16 new deals and expanded into Asia and Europe.
Other notable achievements for Infravio last year include the delivery of two new releases of its X-Registry product, including expanded support for the Universal Description, Discovery and Integration (UDDI) standard in X-Registry 4.7. In X-Registry 5.0, which was released last fall, the company added support for the JSR94 Java-based rules engine, for non Web services assets, for the JAXR API, and expanded its support for the WS-Security standard. It also achieved SAP NetWeaver certification, improved its IBM PartnerWorld status, and expanded its partnerships with GT Software and NetIQ.
