ACOM Solutions last month introduced a new version of its in-house check printing solution for banks and credit unions, called the QuickCheck System 400. Like other members of ACOM's QuickCheck line, the System 400 combines hardware and software into a single offering that handles cutting, stapling, and taping of check books into a single, continuous-flow process. The QuickCheck System 400 can generate from 12 to 25 custom-made checkbooks an hour, double the rate of the System 100, and one-half and one-quarter the product rates of ACOM's System 800 and System 1600 offerings, respectively.
"With the System 400, ACOM completes the build-out of a family of solutions that can meet the needs of financial institutions of virtually any size or branch configuration," says Mark Firmin, vice president of ACOM's Financial Documents division, which is headquartered in Atlanta. While the new product's name may call up images of integrating with OS/400, that is not necessarily the case, as the System 400 can connect with back-end financial management programs running on a variety of platforms.
