Stay-Linked Partners with Pragma for SSH Server

Published: February 17, 2009

by Alex Woodie

Stay-Linked, a developer of terminal emulation software for thin client computers, has teamed up with Pragma Systems to deliver Telnet and SSH (Secure Shell) servers to Stay-Linked customers.

As part of the licensing deal with Pragma, Stay-Linked customers who buy 20 or more licenses for the thin client emulator will receive a free license for Pragma's Windows-based SSH and Telnet server software from Stay-Linked. The license covers Pragma software running on servers with up to eight CPUs, as well as the first year of maintenance. All told, the deal is worth $1,400, Stay-Linked says.

"Pairing Stay-Linked with Telnet or SSH server software that matches our unparalleled performance, reliability, security, and ability to be centrally managed delivers tangible value to our customers," says David Griffith, president of Stay-Linked. "Among other benefits, Pragma Systems software offers best-in-class scalability, which provides our customers with the potential to run significantly more terminal sessions per physical server."

Pragma Systems is an Austin, Texas, company that specializes in Windows SSH and Telnet software. Stay-Linked, which is based in Tustin, California, makes terminal emulation software that allows employees to access 5250 and other host systems from handheld devices.
