Drummond Group Issues Latest Round of AS2 Certs

The Drummond Group last week issued its latest round of certifications for AS2 (Applicability Statement 2), the industry standard that enables trading partners to send EDI, XML, and binary documents securely over the Internet using HTTP/HTTPS. Twenty four products from 21 companies made the final cut, including many that run natively on the OS/400 server.

The AS2 certifications are noteworthy because its is the standard to which many major supply chains in the retail, financial services, pharmaceutical, consumer product goods, automotive, and petroleum industries rely on to determine which applications they will use to conduct electronic commerce.

The list of products that were certified during the first quarter of 2006--Rik Drummond's 10th AS2 interoperability test since he started in October 2000--can be found at www.drummondgroup.com/html-v2/as2-companies.html. Among this list, you will see a number of products that run on the iSeries, including those from: Boomi Software; Cleo Communications; EXTOL International; nuBridges; and Sterling Commerce.
