Intellinx Updates Fraud-Detection Software

Intellinx last week announced the launch of a new version of its fraud-detection solution, which supports the System i and other back office platforms commonly used in the financial services industry. The new release of the product features better case management capabilities, among other features, the company says.

Intellinx's software is designed to allow large enterprises to track all user activity occurring on back-office systems, including System i, System z, and other transactional servers. The product does this by capturing all screen displays, keystrokes, and messages communicated between workstations and servers, which is then compressed and stored on an Intel-based server.

With version 3, which was unveiled at the ABA Information Security Forum in Scottsdale, Arizona, last week, Intellinx has added new case management capabilities that should allow fraud investigation teams to more effectively manage the organizational process of internal investigations.

With this release, investigators can analyze the activity of suspicious users and compare and correlate it to the behavior of their peers. Investigators don't have to worry so much about maintaining the history of each case, including such information as activities, notes, attachment files, alerts, and related cases, because the software does it for them.

Orna Mintz-Dov, the founder of Intellinx and its CEO, says the new release presents a breakthrough in fraud detection.
