iSeries shops, rejoice: TallyGenicom is now supporting the IBM midrange server. With the introduction of the 2265+ and 2280+, the Virginia printer manufacturer is, for the first time, providing iSeries connectivity to its line of high speed serial matrix line printers.
"For the first time, TallyGenicom has included IBM AS/400 iSeries compatibility to enable IBM users to experience TallyGenicom functionality first hand," Dick Bright, TallyGenicom's product marketing manager, was quoted as saying. "At TallyGenicom we feel as if we are at the very pinnacle of our work, and the launch of the 2265+ and 2280+ can only put emphasis on this."
The 2265+ is available in 10 different configurations, including parallel only, parallel with serial, internal Ethernet, PCL and LAN IPDS for IBM AS400 and iSeries users, and sells from $1,845 to $2,220, while the 2280+ is available in seven configurations, including serial, parallel, PCL, internal Ethernet and LAN IPDS, and ranges in price from $2,543 to $3,709.
TallyGenicom will also introduce the 2280T+ for users that require the capability to print up to nine-part forms for use in industries such as transportation, customs brokerage firms, and the healthcare field. The 2280T+ will ship in July.
