Thenon Improves Auditing in Change Management Product

Published: June 6, 2006

Thenon, a British developer of OS/400 utilities, recently announced the launch of SEE/Change Version 4.5004, the latest version of its change management product. The new release started shipping in April.

SEE/Change is a change management system that automatically controls, tracks, and audits development activities. The software supports all native OS/400 object types, including source-based and non -source-based object types such as RPG, COBOL, ILE, SQL functions and procedures, data queues, and menus, the company says.

With SEE/Change Version 4.5004, the company has added new advance-checkout controls for stream file objects. It also delivered an upgraded version of the WDSc plug-I, which enables OS/400 developers to use the SEE/Change processes from within IBM's WebSphere development environment. Thenon first delivered its WDSc plug-in last year, according to its Web site.

The new release was built on customer requests, says Richard Smith, Thenon's SEE/Change product manager. "We are seeing the impetus to install a change management system being set by the auditing department. That is why we are improving the auditing and life cycle controls within SEE/Change in this and future releases," he says.
