Teamstudio Officially Launches Consulting Division

Published: June 20, 2006

Teamstudio, a developer of productivity tools for the Lotus Notes and Domino environment, is going into the technical services business. Last week, the Beverly, Massachusetts, company announced the formation of Teamstudio Consulting, a new division that will focus on helping customers bring greater accountability and control to their Notes/Domino environments.

The Lotus Notes/Domino platform is recognized more for its flexibility and ease of development than for its controllability, says Mark Collison, vice president of Teamstudio Consulting. "The need to bring Notes infrastructures under the same regimes of control and efficiency as other technologies, and at minimal cost, is presenting IT managers with a complex set of problems," he says. "Our conclusion is that a dedicated division of Teamstudio, working on-site and delivering custom configured software and best practices advice, is the best model to meet the need."

Teamstudio will focus its services business on five areas. These include build automation and control, or change management for Notes/Domino; security, including ensuring that policies are automatically maintained; asset analysis, using "rigorous" metrics and a deep understanding of database design; migrations and upgrades; and special projects.

In many cases, the new consulting division will work hand in hand with Teamstudio's product division, and solutions from both divisions will be employed. More information is available at www.teamstudio.com/consulting.
