Agilysys and Sirius CEO Win Awards

iSeries master distributor Agilysys and Sirius Computer Solutions, the largest value added resellers (VARs) in the iSeries racket, were lauded with industry awards last week, including one for the CEO of Sirius.

Agilysys' KeyLink Systems Group (KSG) was honored with IBM Software Group's "2005 World Class Performance: Reseller Certifications" award for driving the largest number (67) of IBM reseller certifications last year. The award was presented to the Cleveland, Ohio, company at the IBM Americas Value Added Distributor (VAD) Council meeting in Miami, Florida.

Meanwhile, Sirius Computer Solutions, which is part of Avnet's iSeries distribution channel, was honored twice last week. First, the San Antonio, Texas, company moved up nearly 20 places--from 97th to 78th--in VARBusiness Magazine's annual poll of the top 500 VARs in North America. "2005 was an incredible year for Sirius," says Harvey Najim, the CEO, president, and founder of Sirius.

The second honor was specifically for Najim, who received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the same VARBusiness Magazine. The magazine says Najim received the award "for consistently demonstrating superior business acumen and contributing to the betterment of the channel community."

"This award is especially gratifying because it highlights what's most important to me--commitment to employees, customers, and our community," Najim says. Najim received the award at a ceremony held in conjunction with the VARBusiness 500 Conference in New York City last Tuesday. Last year, Najim won the magazine's Technology Innovators Award for Servers.
