Cybele Goes Mobile with 5250 Emulator

IBM i shops that are looking for a 5250 terminal emulator that runs on iOS, Android, Blackberry, and other smartphone and tablet platforms may want to check out the latest news from Cybele Software. Last week, the Delaware company unveiled the beta release of z/Scope Anywhere 7.0, a new version of its terminal emulator that has been rewritten with a new HTML5/Javascript client, which simplifies installation and enables it to run inside a greater variety of Web browsers. Misys Partner Launches IBM i Client for Subversion 1.75

A Russian partner of IBM i banking software developer Misys last week announced that it has completed work on a new IBM i client for the popular open source Apache Subversion version control system. A developer at Banking Technologies and Consulting says the IBM i client, called iSVN, enables RPG and CL programmers to access external SVN repositories and utilize SVN features, such as code checkout and update commands, from the comfort of the 5250 green screen. Synergivity Touts Workflow Enhancements in MDCMS

HiT Software Takes DBMoto To the Cloud

HiT Software last week unveiled a cloud version of DBMoto, its data replication and change data capture (CDC) software. The new product uses Web services to keep cloud-based databases refreshed or in sync with other databases that are running on premise. DB2/400 is supported by the software, as are 20 other databases.
