Lakeview to Add Continuous Data Protection to MIMIX

Lakeview Technology last week unveiled plans to add continuous data protection (CDP) technology to its MIMIX ha1 line of high availability software for iSeries servers. CDP is used to safeguard the accidental or intentional deletion or corruption of important files by taking periodic snapshots of the files, which can be later restored by the user. AttachmateWRQ Boosts Security in 'Reflection' Emulation Suite

AttachmanteWRQ this month rolled out a major new release of Reflection, one of two terminal emulation suites owned by the company since the merger of WRQ and Attachmate last year. The new version brings numerous security improvements, including a Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) certificate manager, support for smart card authentication, and support for IBM's Express Logon Feature (ELF). SoftLanding Contributes New WDSc Utilities to Open Source

iSeries change management vendor SoftLanding Systems last week unveiled three utilities designed to make life a little easier for developers working within WebSphere Developer Studio Client (WDSc). The utilities, part of SoftLanding's Remote Systems Explorer (RSE) Extensions project, include a graphical code analysis tool, a dialog for editing data areas, and a tool that displays data queues.
