HiT Supports XML-Based Database Management System with Data Utility

Data access utility vendor HiT Software and Xpriori, a developer of an XML-based database management software, announced a partnership last week that will enable users to transform data between Xpriori's XMS and any standard SQL-based relational database management system using HiT's flagship product, Allora.
Allora allows developers and other users to graphically map data transformations between disparate systems, and then execute those transformations, without getting bogged down in complex and messy SQL statements and XSLT style sheets. The software can be integrated into major Java-based application servers, or used as a stand-alone product.
The capability to swap data between Xpriori's XMS data store and any other standard database, without programming, will do wonders to XMS and Allora users, says Giacomo Lorenzin, president and CEO of HiT Software, which is based in San Jose, California.
"Allora acts as a bridge between XMS and relational databases," Lorenzin says. "Our product appeals to all companies that want to take advantage of a powerful XML native database like XMS, but still needs either to retrieve or store data in a relational database."
XMS is written and supported from Xpriori's headquarters in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The product is available for Windows and Linux operating systems. For more information, see www.xpriori.com.
