Quadrant Software has completed the integration of its IntelliChief content management system with the former MAPICS product, now called ERP XA and sold by iSeries ERP powerhouse Infor, the company announced last week. Together, the two solutions can cut down on paper usage, Quadrant says.
Quadrant Software has been in the OS/400-based document and fax management software business for many years, and it has expertise in connecting with all of the major OS/400 ERP systems. So when it unveiled its new IntelliChief content management system last September, the company had a pretty good idea what it would take to support the major ERP systems with its new product and its new direction.
As a result, the company has built support for Infor's ERP XA product into IntelliChief, enabling customers to automate many tasks that were previously performed manually , such as three-way matching of invoices, PO's and bills of lading; indexing and archiving all documents for later retrieval; and designing and printing checks. IntelliChief also supports Positive Pay reports for electronic money transfers.
IntelliChief runs on Windows servers, but it was designed to work with iSeries systems and iSeries data. The suite, which is composed of the ScanChief, PortalChief, WorkflowChief, ViewChief, and StorageChief modules, is designed to satisfy the six states of paper process management (as Quadrant sees them), including: capture, create, distribute, retrieve, workflow, and archive. IntelliChief is aimed at medium-to-large sized organizations, and implementations average about $50,000, according to the company.
Most Infor ERP XA customers make that money back, and then some, in a short amount of time. According to Quadrant, ERP XA customers average a six month ROI (return on investment) following an IntelliChief implementation.
