AmbironTrustWave, a provider of software and services to help companies comply with the Payment Card Industry (PCI) security mandate, has formed a partnership with nuBridges to leverage its expertise in securing iSeries transactions, the companies announced earlier this summer.
It can be a real chore to implement strong security that protects sensitive customer information from data exposures that could lead to identity theft, but it's nothing compared to the cost of failure. According to Chicago-based AmbironTrustWave, a recent Gartner study found that a company with at least 100,000 customers can expect to spend up to $90 per account when data is compromised. As a good steward of this information, a responsible iSeries shop would rather pay a fraction of this cost upfront to ensure such a disclosure never happens.
To that end, AmbironTrustWave sought the assistance of Atlanta-based nuBridges, which has done a lot of research and development work in the PCI arena. In particular, AmbironTrustWave was most interested in nuBridges' expertise in securing transactions occurring on the iSeries platform, a popular platform in the retail industry.
"We partnered with nuBridges because of their credibility and solidified track record with the iSeries and encryption capability," says Doug Klotnia, senior vice president of sales for AmbironTrustWave. "nuBridges' solution compliments our structured methodology for delivering data security and compliance services to business in the payment industry, creating the most comprehensive, solution for safe and reliable information exchanges."
Conversely, nuBridges recognizes the expertise that AmbironTrustWave brings to the table. "With AmbironTrustWave, we provide an end-to-end solution compliant with the evolving security standards," says Gary Palgon, senior director of connectivity and security solutions of nuBridges.
