PowerTerm WebConnect, a Web-based emulation suite from Ericom, has been awarded with the RSA SecurID certification, confirming its technical interoperability with RSA Security's two-factor authentication technology, Ericom announced last week.
PowerTerm WebConnect provides users with access to more than 30 hosts, including the iSeries and mainframe servers, as well as Windows terminal servers. The product is in widespread use, with more than 30,000 customers and 6 million concurrent licenses sold over the course of its lifetime.
With last week's induction into RSA's security program, those users can feel confident in deploying RSA's security solutions to safeguard access to critical business applications, says Ericom founder and CEO Eran Heyman.
"The security of mission critical systems is vital to the business continuity of today's organizations," Heyman says. "Ericom's technical partnership with RSA Security is a key step in addressing today's stringent demands for a secured enterprise application access solution."
