CITTIO, a developer of heterogeneous system monitoring systems that uses IP pipes and simple network management protocol (SNMP) to monitor the performance of applications, servers, and network devices, is making headway in the Great White North, the company reports.
Last week, the San Francisco vendor announced that its flagship Linux-based WatchTower systems monitoring tool will be resold by HyperTec Group, the seventh-largest solutions provider in Canada. Also, WatchTower will also be used to keep an eye on HyperTec's two business continuity and disaster recovery data centers in Montreal and Quebec City.
"WatchTower gives us exactly what we need - a comprehensive process to measure and ensure our service levels for our business-continuity and disaster-recovery services," said David Ahdoot, Hypertec's president. "In addition, we believe our partnership with CITTIO to offer WatchTower to our customers as a product or service will yield impressive results throughout Canada, as we will have operational knowledge of the many benefits the product offers."
