MKS Signs Japanese Partner

Published: October 10, 2006

MKS, a developer of application lifecycle management software, has signed a Japanese IT consultancy, Mitsui Knowledge Industries, to sell, install, and support its software in that country, MKS announced last week.

Tokyo-based Mitsui Knowledge Industries has expertise in many IT disciplines, including software development, ERP and CRM implementation, system maintenance, and Web site and application hosting. Now, it is adding automated change management to that list.

Mitsui will be selling MKS Integrity and its associated suite of applications, which will enable the group to automate its project and quality control processes for a range of platforms and languages--including Java and .Net, and Unix, zSeries, and iSeries--in all company locations, including China.

Tetsuo Kawashima, executive director for Mitsui, explained his company's reason for selecting MKS as a partner. "MKS's success with tier one organizations in the U.S. and Europe, together with the fact that experienced MKS staff are now part of our team in Japan, positions Mitsui to bring the world's best practice ALM, application portfolio management (APM), ITIL and compliance solutions to our Japanese customers," he says.
