Automated data capture (ADC) software developer Integrated Data Solutions (IDSI) and Varsity Logistics, a developer of OS/400-based shipping software, announced a partnership this week to integrate their respective products.
"We feel this partnership with Varsity Logistics will result in a more accurate and reliable system, helping our customers realize a quicker return on their investment," said Robert Taylor, executive vice president of IDSI, which is based in Chattanooga, Tennessee. "Our products are complementary and extend our customers ability to manage their supply chain effectively."
Shannon Titus, director of marketing and partner management at San Francisco-based Varsity, says their joint customers will benefit from improved efficiency and streamlined workflow. "Through this partnership, both Varsity and IDSI extend their capabilities to best service the needs of the manufacturing and distribution industries."
IDSI has many years developing ADC solutions for the OS/400 server, and currently offers two solutions, including the OrbeSoft Suite and CaptureSystem2. The company says its solutions are the only ADC solutions recommended by Infor for its PRMS users. It has also worked with BPCS, KBM, JDE, MAPICS XA, and LX ERP suites, the company says.
