Teamstudio, a developer of programmer utilities for Lotus Notes/Domino, last week launched a new release of its flagship suite of tools. New features in the release will help Notes/Domino shops improve the monitoring of application design changes, improve the detection of standards violations, and help protect the data integrity of Lotus Notes documents, the vendor says.
The Teamstudio suite is a collection of client- and server-side utilities that provide Notes and Domino developers with a variety of useful functions for designing, programming, maintaining, and fixing their applications. The suite includes individual products such as Teamstudio Analyzer, Teamstudio CIAO, Teamstudio Delta, and Teamstudio Snapper.
With the release of Teamstudio Edition 23, the company also has upgraded Teamstudio Validator, a data integrity tool that audits Lotus Notes documents and reports on compromised functionality to ensure a robust set of applications. With this release, Validator now has the capability to resolve replication and save conflicts within database documents, enabling administrators to protect the data integrity of those documents, the vendor says.
"Because 90 percent of all business records today are electronic, data integrity issues can challenge your core business due to inaccuracies," says Ian Smith, president of Teamstudio, which is based in Beverly, Massachusetts. "With the passage of government regulations like SOX, how these records are managed, processed and stored come under greater scrutiny. Teamstudio Validator enables organizations to lower their risk arising from mismanaged data."
Teamstudio Analyzer and Teamstudio CIAO! were also enhanced with Teamstudio Edition 23. With this release, CIAO! now produces a comprehensive audit trail of the development process, allowing developers to track their design changes and allowing Lotus Notes developers and administrators to audit the application for standards violations, defects, or migration issues. Also, users can now run Analyzer from any of the tabs in the Teamstudio user interface, the company says.
