Retrieve Subtotals and Detail Data at the Same Time
Hey, David:
I have an RPG report that uses embedded
SQL to select records from an order file. The report shows
total sales for products within a sales region. I need to
add columns that show the total percent of total sales for
each product within a sales region and for each region within
the report. I could read the records twice and calculate
the percentage of the totals using values stored on the
first pass. But is there a way to avoid reading these records twice?

Got My Report!
Hey, Ted:
Some of our users were inadvertently walking
off with other people’s reports, so I put the user profile
name in the print text of some of our programs.
This solutions works fine; it solves the problem. But I've been asked
to improve it. Is there a way to put the user's name in the print text
instead? And some of the user IDs are cryptic; is there a way to include
some routing instructions?
