Start QINTER Remotely
Hey, Ted:
The tip, "Remote
Sign-On Problem," that you presented in the November 28, 2001, Midrange Guru, OS/400
Edition is a good idea.
Along the same lines, here's something we use
in our shop to restart QINTER remotely.

Keeping Users Informed
Hey, Ted:
We have a program that usually runs pretty quickly,
but on occasion, it may take as much as five minutes
to finish. We don't want to run it in batch because
the program needs to finish before the user
continues with the next step.
How can I make a program send a temporary message
to let the user know what's going on while a program
is running?

More Information about CWBLM0020
It's funny that you should
post
the question about PC5250 and error CWBLM0020 on January 25, 2002, Midrange Guru, OS/400 Edition,
because I had the same error that morning. In my case, the virtual device
was varied off after an automated IPL.
