Reader Feedback and Insights: You Don't Have to Roll Your Own

Hey, Ted and David:

In your response to Alex on his question in the article,"Remote Control of a Terminal Session," there was one more option you could have recommended, which would be ideal for him. It is a native AS/400 solution and it is far more sophisticated than the Start Copy Screen (STRCPYSCN) command.

The product is WideScope. It's great for remote user support as well as remote demos.  You can find more information at http://www.cybra.com/ws.htm .

As a rule, we don't carry product information in Midrange Guru, Harold. That's what our sister publication, Midrange Stuff, is all about.

We encourage readers of Midrange Guru to consider using appropriate software and hardware products before crafting their own solutions. We also encourage our readers to subscribe to Midrange Stuff .
