Dynamic Result Field in Query/400

Hey, Ted:

Every month we run a query that reports year-to-date sales. The year-to-date sales field, YTD$, is defined as result field that adds up monthly numeric buckets from a sales detail file. For example, the YTD$ for March will contain the expression Jan+Feb+Mar. However, before we can run this query each month, we have to add the next month to the expression. We would like to avoid having to modify the expression every month. Is there a way to make this query read the expression from a database file?

It Looks Bad, but V5R1 Express Error is Harmless

Hey, Joe:

I liked your response on "The V5R1 Client Access Licensing Configuration People Miss." In my case, my licensing was applied correctly after an OS/400 V5R1 upgrade, but I keep receiving another Client Access Family for Windows (5722XW1) licensing error. Message ID CPF9E1F for 5722XW1 now appears in the QSYSOPR message queue saying, "Attempt made to change length of the license user, resulting code 1." What's going on here and is this bad for my system?
