Client Access and Windows Compatibility
Hey, Joe:
I saw an ad for a third-party AS/400-oriented product
that implied Client Access won't work on Windows 2000. I
wasn't sure if they were talking Client Access or another
version of the product. What's the scoop here?

Delete Badly-Named OS/400 IFS Files
Hey, Ted:
I have a question/problem with OS/400 IFS. If I run
the Work with Object Links (WRKLNK) command, I can see
stream files for objects that do not actually exist. These
are objects that I had tried to FTP to the AS400, but
apparently I did something wrong. If I try to delete this
object, I get an error saying the object does not exist. Is
there a way to get rid of these? I have included a screen
shot for you to see.

Reader Feedback and Insights: Converting OV/400 Documents to Microsoft Word
I just read the article "Convert
OV/400 Documents to MS Word for Free" in
the May 8 issue of Midrange Guru, OS/400 Edition,
and I wanted to comment that Microsoft Word includes a free
'Batch Converter' as a wizard, at least in Word2000. If you
have the Convpack.exe (it provides the DCA-RFT converters)
installed on your computer, all you need to do is choose
File > New > Other Documents (tab) and select the Batch
Conversion Wizard. It can convert all or selected documents
in an AS/400 to Microsoft Word format at once.
