I'm new to Qshell script programming and enjoy your articles about the subject very much. So much, that I've started using Qshell when operating on stream files in the OS/400 IFS. I have encountered one problem though: files with one or more blanks in their name.

Hey, Ted:

In the April 24, 2002, issue of the Midrange Guru , you said, "I rarely sign on to two sessions because I use group jobs." What are group jobs? I'm a multi-session-addict, and I was surprised to see that you rarely sign on to two sessions. Perhaps I'm misunderstanding something. I usually open two, three, or more Rumba windows, and in my understanding, that means that I'm working with two, three, or more 'sessions.' Perhaps I am using the term session incorrectly? How can you use group jobs instead of multiple sessions?

I was interested to see the OV/400 to Word migration tool from AIA .

IBM has been quite clear about the demise of OV/400 for many years now. Like many sites, the only bit of OV/400 we use is Data Text Merge which generates a number of standard letters to customers.
