Reader Feedback and Insights: Appalled by Lack of Basic Knowledge

Hey, Ted:

I read the questions some people submit on various iSeries-related Web forums, and I am appalled by the lack of AS/400 and RPG knowledge that is out there. What are your thoughts? Does this same phenomenon exist in the Java, Windows, and Unix worlds?

--Doug

I receive a lot of basic questions from readers of this newsletter. It must mean that many people are coming to a "dying" platform.

This is true of other platforms, too. For example, I see basic (no pun intended) questions in Visual Basic forums.
