Echo2 High Availability --
Affordable, Reliable, Easy-to-Use
Reliable, state-of-the-art high availability isn't as expensive and complex as you might think. Not only does Echo2 cost about half of other solutions, it so automated and self-managing that operation of the system can be done in less than an hour a day and production-to-backup switchovers can be accomplished in minutes.

Do We Still Need FMTDTA?

Hey, Ted:

An associate of mine showed me some programs that incorporate using the Format Data (FMTDTA) command. He claims it's much more efficient to use this command to process a file in a certain sequence than using something like Open Query File (OPNQRYF) or building a logical index. (This is outside of the obvious advantage of streamfile and directory access in QShell, which REXX does not include.)
