Reader Feedback and Insights: Appreciation for COBOL Code

Hey, Ted:

I noticed that you are giving COBOL source more often with the RPG IV source in your tips. Is COBOL getting more popular on the AS/400 these days, or is it just IBM is converting that many mainframes to AS/400s? I like it because I work in both RPG IV and COBOL.

--Jim

I try to include COBOL where possible because I've had quite a few COBOL programmers complain that I was only giving examples in RPG. I don't know if it's getting more popular or not.

I will keep trying to include COBOL examples. My problem is that I don't work in COBOL, so I have to look up everything.
