Before you can use the Visual Basic program to modify your records on the AS/400, you must create an ODBC connection to get at your AS/400. These steps walk you through how to do this. Perform the following steps to configure: 1. Click the Start button. 2. Click Settings. 3. Click Control Panel. 4. Click ODBC Data Sources. 5. Click the System DSN tab. 6. On the right-hand side, click the ADD button. 7. Highlight Client Access ODBC Driver and double-click to select. 8. On the Client Access Express ODBC Setup Window, under the General tab, type: Data Source Name - CustSrv400 Description - AS400 Customer Service Database AS/400 System - click on the AS400 you wish to be connected to 9. On the Server Tab - Default Library - 10.The rest of the tabs can be left with their defaults in place. Questions, please e-mail me at butcherb@samicsoft.com. Thanks. Bob Butcher
