GE Capital IT Solutions, the IT consulting arm of General Electric, recently announced that it has created an interface that allows Help Systems iSeries systems management software to communicate with Remedy Help Desk, a widely used Unix- or Windows-based application that automates reporting failed hardware or software, generating problem tickets, and quickly getting the failed components fixed by the appropriate personnel.

Original Software Ships New Testing Software

Original Software introduced a new data extraction technique in November that it said streamlined iSeries application development by making it easier for programmers to access remotely located development boxes over the Internet. The British company last week started shipping a new release of its flagship iSeries testing suite, TestBench400, that includes this remote data extraction capability, as well as other new features.
