Aldon Launches eTEAM Incident Tracking System

Aldon Computer Group today formally announced eTEAM, its new Web-based incident tracking and problem management system. The eTEAM links users and development staff over the Web to provide an end-to-end system that helps eliminate bugs and other problems encountered during the development of e-business applications in Java, HTML, C++, ASNA Visual RPG, Visual Basic, RPG, COBOL, and even DDS. Clear Technologies Adds Content Management to C2 CRM Suite

Clear Technologies recently started shipping Content Management, a new module of its C2 suite of CRM software that allows organizations to update Web site content automatically, instead of relying on a Webmaster or a third-party vendor to do it for them. The Coppell, Texas, software company also announced last week that former IBM AS/400 executive Van Symons, who left IBM in October to become Clear Tech's vice president of sales, has been promoted to president and chief operating officer. Kisco Updates BlueSeries Fax/E-mail Server, Cuts Prices Again

Kisco Information Systems last week announced BlueSeries eXpress'it Version 5.0, an enhanced version of its OS/400 software for sending and receiving faxes and e-mails. New features in Version 5.0 include a "spooled file expert" function, which, Kisco says, simplifies sending spool files from OS/400 applications as faxes or e-mails. Kisco has also cut prices at the high end, where it consolidated all pricing for the P30, P40, and P50 tiers at the P20 level. READ MORE >

ICOM Improves Security of Web-to-Host Offering

ICOM Informatics last week announced a major upgrade to Winsurf Mainframe Access, or WMA, its flagship Web-to-host software for OS/400 servers, IBM mainframes, and DEC, Bull, and Videotex host systems. New features in WMA 4.0 include compatibility with Microsoft Windows 2000 Server Active Directory, a new Advanced Option package that delivers higher availability and stability, data integration with SQL databases, and functional parity between the Java applet and ActiveX deployment components. Optio Software Portal Delivers Documents Beyond the Firewall

New software from Optio Software allows companies to capture business documents, such as invoices and purchase orders, produced by ERP systems and to provide workers with access to those documents over the Internet, based on an employee's particular role in the organization. The new product, e.ComPresent 2.0, builds on previous releases to deliver a role-based document portal that extends beyond the firewall to the Internet, which, Optio says, lets organizations distribute documents more efficiently.
