Companies on the hunt for a script-less automated testing tool may want to consider Worksoft, a recent entrant to the OS/400 software marketplace. After being contacted to write a proof-of-concept for an automated testing environment at a Florida OS/400 shop, Worksoft decided to exhibit at the recent COMMON conference. Bytware Bolsters OS/400 Anti-Virus Software with E-Mail Support

OS/400's e-mail facilities received an important security boost with the roll-out of native virus scanning for OS/400's POP and SMTP e-mail servers in Bytware's StandGuard Anti-Virus, the industry's only native OS/400 virus scanning tool. Bytware introduced StandGuardAV in June to address the problem of Microsoft Windows viruses infecting OS/400's Integrated File System. With StandGuardAV Version 1.1, the company has extended the product's virus-detection capabilities to incoming and outgoing e-mail. READ MORE >

CGC Solutions Hops Aboard IBM's Developer Roadmap Bandwagon

The company, which was spun off from its parent company, construction ERP software developer Computer Guidance, earlier this year, has a full gamut of roadmap-related offerings, including software tools, WebFacing services, and training, to help move RPG applications and their programmers forward. Mincron Issues 2.0 Release of JENASYS RPG-to-Java Conversion Tool

Mincron announced a new release of JENASYS, the company's RPG-to-Enterprise JavaBeans conversion tool, at the recent COMMON conference in Orlando, Florida. Mincron has expanded the product's compatibility for Web application servers and database management systems, besides WebSphere and DB2 on OS/400.
