Nearly one in five calls placed to its IT help desk were to reset the passwords that employees used to access various OS/400 and Windows applications. Company officials realized they'd have to expand the help desk as more applications came online, so instead they chose to attack the problem directly. READ MORE >

Because of limitations in OneWorld's client/server architecture, it becomes next to impossible to correlate users with their DB2/400 jobs when those jobs malfunction. Performance tool vendor Centerfield Technology offered a partial solution before, but says it has finally solved the problem completely with insure/MONITOR for OneWorld 5.0. READ MORE >

Corrections
The article "EMC Chooses Crossroads to Connect Symmetrix DMX Disk Array to iSeries" has been corrected since it was first published. The article originally stated that EMC was the only provider of external disk for the iSeries. In fact, it's the only provider of external iSeries disk besides IBM. Guild Companies regrets the error. [Correction made 12/1/03.]
