Bingaman Says iSeries Marketing to Focus on Business
by Timothy Prickett Morgan

Peter Bingaman took over as the top marketing executive at IBM for the iSeries line of servers in November last year, and very quickly got into the good graces of the OS/400 server installed base, as well as the independent software vendor community that makes OS/400 applications, by launching a series of TV advertisements promoting the iSeries. Microsoft Extends Laurel Branch to IBM Midrange Shops
by Alex Woodie

As I See It: Dead Peasants
by Victor Rozek

The concept of life insurance always struck me as being ironic. Essentially, you're laying bets on your own early demise, while someone happily pockets your monthly premiums and wagers that you'll live for a very long time. Of course, the reason why we bet against our own survival is that our families will benefit, should we die prematurely. So, in a cautious if twisted way, wagering on your early demise makes sense.
