Lakeview to Host Webcast on Disaster Recovery

by Alex Woodie

Lakeview Technology, a provider of high-availability and clustering software for the OS/400 platform, is hosting a Webcast on Thursday that will cover a range of disaster recovery topics. Finding ROI Without The Disaster will include Lakeview's insights into why a disaster recovery solution should be viewed as an investment that provides a positive and predictable return, rather than as a hard-to-justify expense.

The event will focus on several key areas, including having appropriate expectations for the data and application-recovery processes; the common misconceptions in the disaster recovery marketplace; the pros and cons of several common disaster-recovery techniques; calculating the return on investment of a disaster recovery investment; and reviews from Lakeview customers who have benefited from the company's MIMIX clustering software for AS/400 and iSeries servers.

Glenn VanBenschoten, Lakeview's solution architect, and Biff Myre, the company's director of channel marketing, will host the Webcast, which is scheduled to start at 12:00 noon EST on Thursday. To register for the free event, go to Lakeview's registration page. Participants in the Webcast will be entered into a drawing to win a DVD player.
