Just as everyone was preparing for the Memorial Day long weekend, lawyers for Steven Fisch, an investor in SSA Global, were putting the finishing touches on a class action lawsuit against SSA that seeks to halt the $1.36 billion acquisition of SSA by privately held Infor . Merrill Lynch Cases IT Spending, Server Buying Patterns

The analysts at brokerage house Merrill Lynch have been taking the pulse of data center managers to get a sense of how things are going out there in IT Land. A couple times a year, Merrill Lynch polls 75 chief information officers in the United States and 25 in Europe to pick their brains on various issues.
