ALDON

The 'Natural Selection' for Enterprise Change Management.

In the new climate of regulatory compliance, enterprise change management has become an increasingly complex animal. If you're not taking steps to comply with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, you might soon find it's a real jungle out there.

What would it cost your company if your
iSeries was down for 2½ days?

One large iSeries shop recently experienced a crippling system failure followed by a series of complications that kept the system down for 2½ days. Fortunately they had just installed iTera's Echo2 High Availability. The result: no data was lost, little downtime occurred and users and customers never had a clue.

IT Spending Predicted to Increase Modestly in 2005
by Timothy Prickett Morgan

If you looked at the earth from outer space, you might never guess how much churn there is in the atmosphere and the ocean; everything looks relatively calm. Likewise, looking at current and projected spending on worldwide IT spending, you might not expect a lot of churn under the surface. According to some recent analysis, IT budgets are growing modestly, which should be comforting. However, the aggregate growth numbers mask the churn in subsectors of the IT economy. READ MORE >

As I See It: Keep Breathing
by Victor Rozek

The IT community is getting hammered. Jobs are hemorrhaging, foreign labor markets are putting downward pressure on wages, and the future is uncertain. We've survived downsizing and outsourcing, but they hang over our heads like malevolent stalactites. We're working harder, longer, but many of us are nonetheless falling farther behind. Oh, and here comes your boss with yet another thing for you to do before you can go home. Keep breathing. READ MORE >
