EMC Buys Maryland IT Services Firm for its 'Microsoft' Expertise

Published: January 18, 2006

by Alex Woodie

EMC bolstered its Windows and .NET expertise last week when it bought IT services firm Internosis for an undisclosed sum. Inernosis was a Microsoft Gold partner and seven-time Microsoft Partner of the Year, and employed about 250 professionals, who provided customers with a range of services for Microsoft environments, including application development and hardware hosting.

Internosis, which was headquartered in Greenbelt, Maryland, will become the Microsoft Practice division within EMC Technology Solutions, the professional services arm of the Hopkinton, Massachusetts, company. "The addition of Internosis's extremely talented people and world-class processes to our own growing professional services and solutions business will help to further accelerate customer adoption of information lifecycle management solutions," said Derrell James, a vice president in EMC Technology Solutions.
