Two Sage Resellers Merge to Form Southwestern Accounting Giant

Published: April 26, 2006

by Alex Woodie

Business Computer Systems (BCS) and ProSoft, two Sage Software business partners, this week announced plans to merge and thereby create one of North America's largest Sage resellers.

The combination of BCS, which is headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, and ProSoft, which has offices in Tempe, Arizona, and Englewood, Colorado, will create a single company with about 1,000 customers, which puts it among the top providers of accounting software in the country, the companies said. Clark Haley, former president of BCS, will serve as president and CEO of the new company, while ProSoft's Dean Northey will serve as CFO. The company will primarily serve customers in the Southwest.

The new company, which will go by the elliptical name "BCS…ProSoft," will only sell software from Sage, including the MAS 500 ERP, MAS 90, 200 ERP, SalesLogix, and Abra HRMS product suites. Additionally, the company will offer two vertical market solutions, including the Automated Rental Management suite, and Service and Warranty Management, a suite of software for the depot repair industry.
