Microsoft Delays Windows Server 2003 SP1 and 64-bit Versions
by Alex Woodie

Microsoft announced last week that it will not ship three new releases of Windows by the end of 2004, as previously planned. Hewlett-Packard, the volume leader in the Intel space, and IBM, which is moving aggressively in blades and high-end machines, both refreshed their server lines this week. READ MORE >

Mad Dog 21/21: To Hive and Hive Not
by Hesh Wiener

They naturally organize themselves into orderly, cooperative groups. They produce what it takes to nurture and enlarge their society, and more, too. When the central figure in a group departs, they very quickly nominate one or more candidates for that role.
