Microsoft is banking on its new vice president for Enterprise Partners, Peter Boit, to evangelize its "People-Ready" business philosophy to Microsoft's network of partners. Last week the company announced the creation of that position within its Enterprise and Partner Group (EPG).
Boit, who previously held the position of vice president of the Worldwide Commercial Sector group within EPG, where he worked with partners in the manufacturing, financial services, and retail & hospitality industries, is familiar with the organization. In his new role, Boit will work closely with Simon Witts, corporate vice president of EPG Worldwide, and Allison Watson, corporate vice president of Microsoft's Worldwide Partner Group, to help evolve Microsoft's relationships with enterprise partners around the world, as well as with Microsoft's own subsidiary Partner Team Units, the software giant says.
"I think we're in a great position to manage whatever the business throws at us," Boit says in a Microsoft PressPass Q&A. "We have some very bright people who are incredibly passionate about what they do. We have people who have been in the partner business eight to 20 years, with a lot of institutional knowledge."
