  • VAI Savors Another Customer Win

    June 29, 2010 Alex Woodie

i/OS software developer VAI has wrapped up another sweet customer win, this time at Comax Flavors, a leading manufacturer of flavors and aromas for the food and beverage industry. The company has deployed the latest release of S2K, VAI’s suite of ERP products for the System i platform.

Based in Melville, New York, Comax Flavors has been helping food and beverage makers enhance their products for more than 30 years. Whether it’s the latest trend in flavored coconut water or a customizable coca solution, Comax’s proprietary technologies can help manufacturers dial in the exact flavor and effect that they’re looking for.

Now, Comax has a new flavor in its back office, and it’s called S2K. The manufacturer has implemented the i/OS-based ERP suite to tackle several challenges, including streamlining manufacturing operations, reducing errors, enhancing employee productivity, and utilizing the Internet more effectively in interactions with suppliers and customers.

Laura Ferrante, director of administration for Comax, says the company took at look at S2K at the suggestion of its managed service provider, Network Solutions and Technology (NST). “As a Long Island-based company, Comax was impressed with VAI’s solution offerings, professionalism, and industry knowledge. Additionally, the fact that VAI was local made the choice an easy one.”

Both companies are based on Long Island, New York.
