  • MCS Expands Westward to Serve Infor A+ Customers

    June 5, 2012 Alex Woodie

Maximum Computer Systems, a New York-based consultancy that specializes in providing solutions for wholesale distributors, is opening a new office in Las Vegas that will enable it to better serve customers who run the Infor10 Distribution Enterprise i (A+) suite from Infor.

MCS is an Infor Gold Channel partner based in Ronkonkoma, New York. The company specializes in Infor10 Distribution Enterprise i, an RPG-based ERP suite for distributors that was previously called Application Plus (A+) when it was owned by Daly & Wolcott. The company has been in business for 23 years, and has been an A+ partner since 1997.

The company says its new office in Las Vegas will enable it to have a more “active and improved” relationship with its clients. The new office will be run by MCS’ West Coast representative Mike Gallo, and will be staffed by Burt Silverman, who was recently hired to provide technical resources to clients.

Silverman has extensive experience on the IBM i platform. He previously worked at New York-based Nu Horizons Electronics, and became director of IT when it was merged with Arrow Electronics, one of the master distributors of IBM i gear. Silverman will bring a particular emphasis on helping Infor10 Distribution Enterprise i customers to adopt Infor’s latest products, including ION, Road Warrior, EPAK, and the Value Added Services Module.

Infor is actively pursuing its Infor10 Distribution Enterprise i customers as well. The ERP suite is one of the keystone “Infor10” products, which gives it access to the software giant’s latest technology, such as the ION middleware. An Infor10 Distribution Enterprise i customer was also the first Infor customer to go live with the ION’s hooks into Salesforce.com.
