  • Magic Updates iBOLT For Salesforce

    November 4, 2008 Alex Woodie

Magic Software unveiled a new release of its iBOLT integration software for Salesforce.com customers at the Dreamforce conference in San Francisco this week. The new release should make it easier for customers to share data between their on-premise ERP systems and their cloud-based Salesforce.com environment.

Magic Software sells a series of iBOLT products aimed at eliminating much of the drudgery of hand-coding integration points among enterprise applications. The software allows users to create connections using a graphical drag-and-drop interface, and uses wizards to speed the configuration. In addition to iBOLT Special Edition for Salesforce.com, the company offers iBOLT Special Editions for SAP, JD Edwards, and IBM i (formerly i5/OS).

The new iBOLT Special Edition for Salesforce.com unveiled at Dreamforce this week is designed to leverage the latest Salesforce.com enhancements, while boosting security and speeding implementation times, the company says.

The new release features an updated software development kit (SDK) adaptor that Magic says will particularly benefit software vendors adapting to service oriented architecture (SOA) concepts. It also includes new data replication capability designed to back up Salesforce.com data, and support for connecting Salesforce.com applications and data to Lotus Notes applications.

The end result is users will be able to accomplish integration tasks more quickly using the latest iBOLT product for Salesforce.com, says Regev Yativ, president and CEO of Magic Software Americas.

“The new iBOLT enhancements eliminate many redundant integration steps and processes so that our customers can expect to spend even less of their valuable time and resources developing projects and instead move straight to more efficient and effective deployment,” he says.
