  • Infor Updates i5/OS-Based Distribution Solution

August 28, 2007 Timothy Prickett Morgan

Infor last week launched a new version of ERP A+, an i5/OS-based application designed for companies in the distribution business. With the new version, Infor has integrated ERP A+ with some of its other products.

According to Infor’s A+ announcement, the new version of A+ delivers two new features: integration with other Infor products, including Infor SCM Demand Planning and “document management,” and a new interface that is so easy to use that employees will learn it “in record time,” the company says.

Customers purchasing the new version of A+ and using it with SCM Demand Planning can expect to see benefits in the area of forecasting and inventory and replenishment planning. “The new features in Infor ERP A+, including integration with other Infor solutions, will provide companies with the comprehensive visibility they require to manage complex supply chains and quickly respond to market fluctuation,” says Andrew McGlasson, a director of industry and product marketing with Infor.

One A+ user, WAXIE Sanitary Supply, had great things to say about Infor’s product. “Our partnership with Infor and the improved capabilities in A+ will help us take our business to the next level,” Harry Babb, vice president of Corporate Operations and IT for WAXIE Sanitary Supply, which is based in San Diego, California.

Earlier this year, IBM included Infor A+ in its Vertical Industry Program (VIP) for the Janitorial and Sanitation (Jan/San) industry.
