inFORM Decisions Signs South African Reseller

IBM i document management software vendor inFORM Decisions last week announced that it’s signed TEMBO Technology Lab (Pty) LT , a large South African IBM i server distributor, to be its agent in the region.

TEMBO specializes in helping customers “unlock the value” in their existing systems through the use of modernization tools to develop new user interfaces. The company eschews the term “legacy” as it relates to the midrange platform and its applications, preferring instead the term “vintage.” Much of TEMBO’s IBM i modernization work is done using tools from its Australian partner, looksoftware.

As inFORM’s new partner, TEMBO will sell and customize the Southern California company’s breadth of document management tools at customer sites in its region, which includes South Africa and the entire sub-Saharan region of the continent.

These tools include the iDocs document management tool; the iPayments electronic payment and ACH on-boarding tool; the iChecks tool for printing MICR checks with laser prints; the Positive Pay security module to iChecks; and Check-Secure, which adds even more security to iChecks.

Piet du Toit, director of business development for TEMBO Technology Lab, says the company is pleased to be adding inFORM’s solutions to its portfolio. “Given the demand for the types of time-saving technologies we bring to the South Africa midrange market, the solutions from inFORM fit squarely into our sweet spot, and will bring us new ways to add value to our loyal and expanding customer base,” du Toit states in a press release.

In addition to looksoftware and inFORM, TEMBO partners with Edgetec, an IT service company that provides a range of products and services to IBM shops in South Africa.
