  • Polish Processing Bureau Taps Raz-Lee for IBM i Security Tools

    April 16, 2013 Alex Woodie

Comarch, the Polish IT services firm, has acquired a license to Raz-Lee Security‘s IBM i security suite to help protect the i5/OS environment it manages for customers.

Comarch is a Krakow-based company that provides a range of IT services across multiple industries, including ERP management, security, business intelligence, and CRM. The company, which has 3,500 employees, services customers across central Europe, from Russia in the east to Belgium in the west, and it also has offices in the US and the Middle East.

Among the company’s offerings is an insurance processing service that runs on hosted i5/OS machines. According to Raz-Lee, Comarch recently acquired iSecurity to bolster this insurance processing system, particularly in the areas of IBM i journal monitoring, network monitoring, auditing, and compliance. In addition to the core components of iSecurity, Comarch has also licensed Visualizer, Raz-Lee’s BI security tool.

The partnership between the two companies allows Comarch’s customers to gain the benefits of iSecurity, says Adam Tymofiejewicz, consulting director for Comarch IT Global Services at Comarch Luxembourg. “The functionality and scalability of the Raz-Lee Security product suite gives us the possibility to provide our clients with comprehensive security monitoring services,” Tymofiejewicz says in a Raz-Lee press release.

Eli Spitz, Raz-Lee’s vice president of business development, said he hopes the deal with Comarch develops into additional business with other parts of the firm.
