  • Rimini Adds BusinessObjects to Third-Party Support Offerings

    May 21, 2013 Alex Woodie

Rimini Street has been providing third-party support and maintenance services to users of SAP Business Suite ERP software for four years. Now, the company is offering support for SAP’s BusinessObjects business intelligence software, too.

Rimini Street says BusinessObjects customers who sign support contracts can save up to 90 percent compared to what they were paying SAP. That includes the 50 percent savings that Rimini Street says it provides for all ERP customers who sign support contracts. SAP customers who use Rimini for their ERP and business intelligence support and maintenance will save the most, the company says.

Rimini will provide technical support and maintenance for the entire BusinessObjects lineup, including: BusinessObjects Enterprise; Crystal Reports; Dashboard Design; Interactive Analysis, the ad hoc query and analysis too; Explorer, Planning & Consolidation; Web Services Query Tool; and the database integration tools. Rimini already offers support for Hyperion, the business intelligence offering from Oracle.

Rimini CEO Seth Ravin says BusinessObjects users who switch will save money and get more responsive service. “We see significant global demand for Rimini Street support for BusinessObjects, and we look forward to assisting licensees with their easy switch to Rimini Street,” he says.

In other news, Rimini yesterday announced that it has closed a new round of financing with Bridge Bank that yielded the company $15 million, which the company plans to use to expand its business. Rimini has plans to IPO, but it first wants to clear up the lawsuit and a counter-lawsuit with Oracle over Rimini’s third-party support business, which is now entering its fourth year.
