IBM i PTF Guide, Volume 20, Number 24
June 20, 2018 Doug Bidwell
Rochester, we have a problem. The statement below is copied directly from an IBM notice. I did not want any confusion about its contents. The SFTP services are showing up in some places already, but not everywhere. We will let you know where and when as we are informed.
IMPORTANT: Planned changes to ECuRep upload and download server. • All ECuRep servers will be requiring IBM ID authentication, soon. Please make sure that you own an IBM ID and that your processes will be able to use IBM ID authentication instead of anonymous log-in. (https://www.ibm.com/account/us-en/signup/register.html) • We will discontinue the anonymous FTP server ftp.ecurep.ibm.com on or prior to May 25th, 2018. There is a new server, ftps.ecurep.ibm.com that enforces FTPS (FTP over TLS, explicit) encryption which replaces ftp.ecurep.ibm.com. We will update the ECuRep Web page https://www-05.ibm.com/de/support/ecurep/index.htmland this email message as soon as the deployment dates are set.
In other news, there is new tooling in QGMTOOLS, you can now access the sslconfig in SST from a command line. Check it out at this link.
You may have noticed a reduction in the number of prestart jobs at IPL since upgrading to V7R3. Check here for the why’s and wherefore’s:
There is a new HIPER group this week for all three releases! New DB group this week, but only for V7R2!
Here is the defective rundown (The last defective for each release):

And finally, consider this a reminder that the Ocean Users Group Technical Conference is open for registration. It is the best deal of the year. Here is the link in case you were procrastinating! (I registered, so see ya there!)
Below is the usual archive of the IBM i PTF Guide to help you work through the PTFs in chronological order:
